In 2025, Oil City will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Christmas Past, an annual holiday event that takes place the first weekend of December. This festive celebration runs from Friday to Sunday, with activities taking place throughout the community. Friday night is the Oil City Rotary’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Town Square will be highlighted, marking the start of the weekend’s festivities.
Families can enjoy various free activities in the park and along Seneca Street. For the first time many years in 2025, the event will feature a Christmas Parade, bringing even more holiday cheer to the town. Local businesses, service industries, and churches across the north and south sides of Oil City will open their doors, offering fun activities for the whole family. Retail stores will host pop-up shops, and the community will have plenty of opportunities to get into the holiday spirit.
In addition, Oil City Main Street will also offer Small Business Bingo cards, allowing participants to win Main Street Bucks by visiting local shops. This is a great way to support small businesses while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
